Hi guys! This week we are working on our new quater PSA scripts! A PSA is a Public Service Announcement! I am defibatally on track! I have finished my treatment (which is saying my story, angle, Topic, and issue). I also finished my shotlist and turned it into Mr. M! This quater I am defintally, deffinitally working on procrastination and I am starting off wonderful!

This weeks blog topic is project update!! I will tell you what we have done so far, what we are doing right now, and what we are gonna do! So it being the end of the Quater and all, we have done a lot. Obviously, we have figured out our topic, we shot all of our interviews and got our script approved!! We had to revise it a few times but, it's better to take time to make corrections than just have a sucky script and produce a sucky video. Now we are in the middle of editing! We have actually finished kind of just laying out stuff out on the timeline, but we are just perfecting it. We are also finishing up getting some last minute b-roll. We are pricing it together, and I think it's gonna come out pretty good. So what we are planning on doing is finishing adding all of our stuff and pricing the video together with voice overs, more b-roll, lower 3rds, etc. then getting it checked by Mr. M. There is always gonna be stuff we have to fix so we will try make it the best we can before the deadline. I know we are gonna make the deadline and turn out with a good video if we stay on task! Hey! So second quarter started!! That means new radios, new projects, and a lot more! My partner and I have been getting a lot done! We have determined our topic idea and done the research, we have made phone calls, and we are in the process of scheduling interveiws! We have a lot to do, and a lot to improve. We have made mistakes in first Quater that we can definitely improve on this quater! Well, that’s all for now!
Our fist major deadline! Well we made it!! Things we did to meet our deadline is stay on top of things, track the time, and stay focused.
I stay on top of things, you have to know what you have to do. So for my partner and I, we determined what we had to do. We knew we had to revise our scripts, and finish editing. Then, we said how we are going to do that. We had to define EXACTLY what we were going to do, and when we were going to do it, leading me to my next subject… TIME! Time is always running out, it never waits for you, so it’s your job to keep track of your time and deadlines. What Alaysia and I did was after we determined what we had to get done, we decided when we were going to do it. We mostly worked during class, at home and at the recesses. And we kept track of what we got done and so forth. But in order to stay on top of time, we had to STAY FOCUSED! We stayed focused by trying not to get destructed and by doing one thing at a time, because if we tried to do multiple things, both things would probably be not as good as they could be if we gave them our full attention. That’s all for tonight! It’s fall break so I won’t be posting for a week! Thanks for reading! Bye! Hey Guys! So this weeks assigned topic is how we are doing so far in media. Well, we are done with filming, almost done with our scripts, and almost done with our advisory game.
When I say done by filming, I mean we are done with interviews, AND b-roll. We are supposed to be done with filming this week, so we are on track for that. We got all the shots we needed. We made sure of that because when we went for our interviews we listened to what the person said and then shot it so it would go good! Then after we got a whole lot of other stuff. You can never have to much of b-roll! The script is the hardest part of the whole project. The script sets your project. First, you make a treatment. The treatment has your who, what, when, where, why, and how. It also has a summary, angle, characters, story, your issue, etc. After you finished your treatment, and get it approved, we start putting your bits and prices into a script, and that is where I am at right now. We are a little behind, I admit, but with focus and a positive attitude, I know we can get it done. We are doing great with our advisory games. We finished the actual game, and all we have to do is write our script. For the script, we have to have all the slides and intro and ending for the announcers to announce when the advisory game actually plays. Our advisory game is on Christmas movies because it is in December. In conclusion, that is where we are right now in the first quarter! I will keep you updated! |
